1. Service Description

VersionTap provides a hosted changelog platform for SaaS products. Users can create changelog entries, publish them to a public page, and notify subscribers of updates.

2. Account Terms

  • You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
  • You are responsible for all activity under your account.
  • One person or entity may not maintain more than one free account.

3. Acceptable Use

You may not use VersionTap to:

  • Publish illegal, harmful, or offensive content
  • Distribute malware or phishing content
  • Impersonate others or misrepresent your identity
  • Abuse our API or infrastructure (automated scraping, DDoS, etc.)
  • Violate the rights of others, including intellectual property rights

4. Billing Terms

  • Paid plans are billed on a recurring monthly or annual cycle.
  • Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the next billing date.
  • You may cancel your subscription at any time. Access continues until the end of the current billing period.
  • We do not provide refunds for partial billing periods.
  • Free trials, if offered, automatically convert to paid subscriptions unless cancelled.

5. Intellectual Property

  • You retain ownership of all content you create on VersionTap.
  • You grant VersionTap a license to host, display, and distribute your content as part of the service.
  • VersionTap retains ownership of the platform, brand, and all related intellectual property.

6. Privacy

Your use of VersionTap is subject to our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your data.

7. Disclaimers

  • VersionTap is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind.
  • We do not guarantee uptime, accuracy, or fitness for any particular purpose.
  • We are not liable for data loss. Users should maintain their own backups.

8. Limitation of Liability

Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid to VersionTap in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

We may terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time from the dashboard settings.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, USA.

11. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in the small claims court of Mecklenburg County, North Carolina.

12. Changes to Terms

We will provide at least 30 days’ notice before material changes take effect, via email or in-app notification.
